Mika Venojärvi (FIN)

Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board

PhD, Adjunct Professor, Senior lecturer at the University of Eastern Finland (Institute of Biomedicine, Exercise Medicine, School of Medicine).

Minna Huotilainen (FIN)

PhD, Professor at the Department of Education, University of Helsinki, Finland. Research areas: educational sciences, neurosciences, cognitive science, medical engineering and psychology.

Kari Kalliokoski (FIN)

PhD, Adjunct professor, University of Turku. He is exercise physiologist and senior researcher as well as adjunct professor of cardiovascular physiology and exercise metabolism at the Turku PET Centre, University of Turku. Recently he has specifically studied the health effects of high-intensity interval training (HIIT).

Mika Pihlman (FIN)

MSc, Physioterapist, Manipulative Physiotherapist, Fascial treatments’ expert and lecturer.

Heikki Tikkanen (FIN)

PhD, Professor of Physiology and Exercise Physiology at the University of Eastern Finland.

Richard Smišek (CZE)

M.D., Creator and Developer of the Spiral Stabilization Method.

Grzegorz Zurek (POL)

PhD, Professor, Head of the Department of Neuroscience at the Wroclaw Sport University and Associate Professor at the Opole Medical School, Poland. He is an active researcher with several studies publicated, also on walking and nordic walking. At this moment he is involved with researches concerning changes in cognitive functions.

Tiina is one of the most internationally known Nordic Walking educators and experts: she has trained coaches, trainers and instructors coming from more than 30 countries.

Jarmo Ahonen (FIN)

Physioterapist, pilates teacher, one of Finland's most respected experts of human movement and body control. Author of several books, including books on biomechanics of walking, both in Finnish and in English. He has been the physiotherapist of the Finnish National Team in seven Olympic Games and worked for 30 years as a consulting physiotherapist for the Finnish National Ballet.
