The 20th Anniversary Celebrations of Nordic Walking in Finland, August 4-6, 2017.

The event was part of the official "Suomi Finland 100" programme to celebrate the centenary of Finland’s independence in 2017.

There was an International Nordic Walking Congress of two days in Espoo for scientists, Nordic Walking Coaches, Trainers and Instructors, for all Nordic Walking enthusiasts, for everybody interested in Nordic Walking.

And then the Celebration Event "Nordic Walk Finland" at Paloheinä, Helsinki, where the Nordic Walking boom started in 1997.  

There were the first pioneers Leena Jääskeläinen and Tuomo Jantunenread their interviews to find out how it all started. There were many internationally renowned experts and scientists - and Nordic Walking enthusiasts from all over the world.
